– A Book for Every Need –

1 Bible 22 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works”

Whatever the need of the moment, the Bible is God’s Eternal Word, and contains His answers, if we would take the time to search for them. The collection of Bible verses listed below is meant for use as a handy reference when you feel the need for the Bible’s guidance on a particular problem in your life. This list is in no way intended to replace regular Bible study or the use of a concordance for in-depth study of a subject. For example, if you’re feeling extremely lonely one day, some of the Bible’s wisdom and comfort is available for you under the topic of loneliness. I have listed alphabetically some of the verses recorded in the Bible, by topic for ease of use.

There are so many sources of information in our world today, and it’s so easy to pick the wrong source. If you are looking for and seeking truth, you need a perfect and fool-proof source. And my beloved, that source is the Bible, God’s breathed Word, which the psalmist said, “Forever, O LORD Your Word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). God’s Word is the only source of what is true and right.

Thus, as you faithfully read and study the Bible, as you listen to trustworthy Bible teachers, and above all as you rely on the Holy Spirit, be thankful that you can understand God’s message. Like the psalmist, we should pray, “Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law” (Psalm 119:18). Remember that Scriptural insight is available only to those with spiritual eyesight.

Further thoughts:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 states, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” That’s quite an advertisement! The apostle Paul was saying that God gave us the Bible to teach us about Himself, to give us practical instructions on how to live, and to equip us completely with everything we need to know in order to live a godly life on this earth.

My brethren, the Bible, God’s Eternal Word, delivers on its promises. I know, because I bought it, I’ve been reading it, and I’m trying to live by it. It covers all aspects of life. Its pages contain essential truths, instructions and teachings. It alone is the book for every need. No matter how much more time you have left in this world, start reading the Bible today if that hasn’t been your practice previously.

Resolve to read it regularly. It’s the only Book that will bless you while you’re still in this world. And it will show you that through faith and trust in Jesus Christ you can be sure of eternal blessedness in the world to come. The question remains, “Have you read it lately?”

The Bible gives us all we need
To live our lives for God each day;
But it won’t help if we don’t read
And follow what its pages say. – Sper
